Pathway is currently looking to fill a part time Foster Parent Recruitment position for our Foster Care & Adoption Program. This position is Grant Funded. The Foster Parent Recruiter supports the program's recruitment plan. Duties include recruitment of prospective resource families for the program,

The Recruiter reports to the Director of Foster Care Recruitment for carrying out the functions of the agency in recruiting foster/adoptive parents.


  • Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience/Knowledge in recruiting/marketing.
  • Competent presenter in public forums
  • Prior experience in child-welfare or experience
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
  • Available to work flexible hours on evenings and weekends for marketing.
  • Salary Range: Based on education and experience.
  • Ability to work independently in the community  
  • Knowledge in excel, word, power point.

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Researches community venues for potential recruitment and community outreach opportunities
  • Attends and participates in program, organization, and collaborative recruitment venues and other committees as assigned.
  • Maintains a positive and supportive relationship with foster parent applicants
  • Enters recruitment Inquiries into the State SACWIS system and tracks all inquiries.
  • Tracks all recruitment activities completed
  • The applicant should have strong social skills, time management skills, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills. The applicant should demonstrate the ability to work with populations with diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Applicant should be comfortable with computer use and able to enter attendance and other data with a high level of attention to detail. The applicant must be able to engage in the coaching process'specifically, to be receptive to feedback, willing to role-play, and willing to try new skills.
