The Intake Specialist provides coverage and performs tasks in the Intake Department and is supervised by the Intake Manager. The Intake Specialist is responsible for scheduling and monitoring Family Service Respite throughout the Northeastern Ohio area. The Intake Specialist supports the foster care/adoption team as needed.

The successful applicant for this position should have a bachelor's degree with a major in one of the social sciences; have at least three years experience working with children and/or youth in the juvenile justice or child welfare systems; have experience or demonstrated potential for working well with a wide variety of persons; the ability to write quickly, coherently and in a communicable style; have strong computer skills; and possess a valid drivers license, a good driving record, automotive liability insurance, and a car which is safely maintained. Demonstrates sensitivity and consideration for the cultural differences among the children and families served by Pathway Caring for Children.
